A simple brake inspection is the easiest way to keep you and your family safe whenever you are in your vehicle. If you notice that your brakes are squealing, pulsing, or pulling, please call us for an inspection. You should also have your brakes checked if your “BRAKE”, “ABS” or “ANTILOCK” warning lights turn on. We perform Brake Inspections while performing regular service.

It is important to know that not every vehicle has both shocks and struts; some just have one or the other. Shocks are part of the overall suspension, and a strut is a complete suspension assembly. If you notice that your vehicle rolls or sways excessively on turns, dives when braking, squats when accelerating, bounces on rough roads, or “bottoms out” on bumps, you may need new shocks and/or struts. Replacing your shocks and/or struts can help to improve the longevity of your tires. Shocks and struts may need replacing after 80,000km, have one of our trained mechanics inspect them before having them replaced.

One of your vehicle’s most important filters is the engine oil filter. Oil filters help protect the engine’s oil from dirt, metal filings, and sludge. Your vehicle’s oil filter should be changed every 5,000km or at the time or your regularly scheduled oil change. Vehicles also contain an air filter. Air filters also help protect the engine by keeping out dirt and debris. Your air filter should be changed about every 30,000km, or per your vehicle’s owner’s manual.

Belts are a vital part of your vehicle. They keep the water pump, alternator, power steering and air-conditioning compressor turning and working properly. Worn belts can be difficult to notice, so we inspect them at every service. Hoses carry coolant (antifreeze) from the engine to the radiator for cooling, and back again. Over time hoses can become brittle and begin to crack and leak. Hoses should be checked every 5,000km or at every oil change to ensure that they are functioning properly. We inspect hoses as part of our regular maintenance.

Your car’s cooling system keeps your engine running at its peak operating temperature. A malfunctioning cooling system could cause your engine to overheat and fail. You can have your car’s cooling system inspected during a maintenance check-up. Pre-schedule your check and you could save big. Ask us how.

When the summer months roll around, you won’t want to be stuck without your air conditioning. At Integra Tire we can fix your air conditioning system to keep you comfortable during the hot summer weather.

Your fuel system is made up of several components: fuel injectors, fuel pumps, the fuel tank, and fuel lines. This system pushes the gasoline to the engine, allowing it to start and run. A malfunction with any of these components could lead to decreased gas mileage or cause the car to stall. A complete cleaning of your fuel system can be completed every 25,000km to ensure that your fuel system continues functioning properly.

Your vehicle’s transmission allows your vehicle to change gears, causing it to move. Some vehicles have an automatic transmission and some have a manual transmission. Vehicles should have their transmission fluids changed or per your owner’s manual, or when the fluid is visibly dark/dirty; this ensures that your transmission stays in proper working condition and prevents a costly transmission failure.

Your car’s battery brings your car to life. If you notice that your car takes a while to start up, it could mean that your battery needs replacing. The average battery lasts four to five years, but the life of a battery can vary, especially if the battery has to often start in cold weather conditions. At Integra Tire, we check your battery and charging system to ensure proper operation so you aren’t left stranded. Pre-schedule your appointment and you could save $100.00 a year. Ask how today!

Properly installing good quality wiper blades can greatly increase the safety of you and your family. Whether it’s raining or snowing, proper wiper blades will help you see where you are going during inclement weather. Wiper blades should be changed approximately once a year, or when they are noticeably streaky or noisy.
